SENIORS!!!! PROM!!!!!!! ARE YOU READY?!

You better be, because Prom is coming up FAST. End of the week fast.

If you don’t have your stuff together by now, you’re getting left behind, son.

All right, all right – I’ll go easy on you. I know not everybody’s like me . . .

I mean, NOBODY’S like me. Tyler Barso is one of a kind! So don’t even try.

But if you wanna be like me, you got some catching up to do.

Maybe Prom fell off your radar somehow and you just didn’t get around to the details yet . . . Lucky for you, I’ve got a few back-up plans I’ve been saving . . . I’m not gonna need them, so feel free to take a page out of the book of Barso!

Missing A Tux?

You’ll lay down a hefty deposit and it might be an XXXL, but make it work! Tell your girl it’s a zoot suit. That’s not my play, but you’ve got to improvise, right?

Missing A Ride?

If you don’t have the cash for a limo, find the cash for a limo.

Missing A Corsage?

Find a girl working at a flower shop and charm her into giving you one for free. Trust me, this works.

Missing Dinner Reservations?

Your Mom cooking Prom dinner at your house is not going to cut it. But . . . your Mom packing a meal for a candlelight picnic under the stars, that can work. Just make sure she doesn’t pack a note in there.

Missing Anything Else?

You’re on your own there, boys.

SEE YOU AT PROM!!!!!! I’ll be the one with the crown on.

Wow. It’s April already. Prom will be here in less than four weeks!

This is the big push. So much to do to make this night unforgettable for everyone . . . I haven’t even had time to think about how to make my night come together.

Not that I’m stressing about it . . .

I just need a dress.

And a date.

And dinner reservations.

And to figure out how we’re getting there.

And who I’m getting ready with.

And also shoes.

I guess I should figure out what I want to do with my hair.

And make-up.

But the Prom table decorations are going to be beautiful.

So, I can cross that off the list.

Prom is forever. In your memories.

It also seems like it will in real life probably run about six or seven hours, including dinner.

The most important section of the night might be dinner. Why is that? Because the school does all the work on Prom. They hire some girl called Nova to put all these things on every year, I guess. So all that stuff is on them. But the dinner? That’s all you. This is your time to show what you have to offer a lady.

Lots of ladies like exotic food, so choose something that maybe she’s never had before. It’s like an adventure you share together.

But be sure to stay in tune with her needs. My girlfriend who lives in Canada hates lobsters. She says they look like aliens and they scream when you cook them. Also, have you seen their guts? That is pretty gross.

Maybe she is embarrassed about that bib they give you. I don’t know, I like the bib. It definitely takes the pressure off me to keep my shirt clean.

But you know . . . this meal isn’t about you. It’s about you. Wait, that’s weird. Like, for just you, it’s “you” and also for like, both of you, it’s still “you” . . . Words.
