Brookside High Prom Bulletin

Welcome to Brookside High's official blog!

This is THE place to experience student life at our school. Because this isn't just a place for me to express MY point of view - Brookside students and faculty also get a chance to post Tweets, texts and videos of their own.

Think of it as our school's living yearbook. Don't forget to subscribe! This is one club you're going to want to be a part of.

- Nova Prescott, moderator

Less than two weeks until Prom night . . . it’s thick in the air. Also, so is pollen. Both give me headaches.

In other news:

  • Principal Dunnan announces removal of junk food from vending machines. Cafeteria food remains business as usual.
  • Apparently, a blank stare can count as “insubordination”.
  • Graduation caps and gowns are now available. Because your high school experience isn’t complete without two ridiculous outfits back-to-back.
  • Prom tickets are selling out. But we knew that already.
  • Yearbooks delayed until next Friday. One less week to immortalize your relationship with that guy who sat next to you in science class.
  • Most of what I say is less than 140 characters. You aren't that special.

Today in Brookside Campus Life:

- That Prom Girl is taking submissions from students for the Prom poster. I have a feeling my folded-notebook-paper-with-chewing-gum-in-it submission is gonna make it!

- Students continue to get excited every day tater tots are served in the cafeteria.

- A teacher tries to use a word he learned from his daughter. Does it wrong. Awkward silence ensues.

- A guy asks a girl to Prom. She says yes. People get excited like it didn’t just happen to someone else yesterday and won’t happen again tomorrow.

- I’m written up for “excessive and unauthorized pantomime” – this is not a real thing. Principal Dunnan threatens this might appear on my permanent record. I tell him we might both want to consider the ramifications of that.

- The Internet allows us to share things.

Make-up Yearbook Photos will take place Tuesday in the library. Pimples, weird smiles, braces, old haircuts and “thinking about something else” do not qualify as valid reasons for make-up photographs.
