Brookside High Prom Bulletin

Welcome to Brookside High's official blog!

This is THE place to experience student life at our school. Because this isn't just a place for me to express MY point of view - Brookside students and faculty also get a chance to post Tweets, texts and videos of their own.

Think of it as our school's living yearbook. Don't forget to subscribe! This is one club you're going to want to be a part of.

Prom happens once a year.

At each school. So, like, really . . . a 1000 times a year. But just once for you. And for your lady. So, that means if you’re going to ask your lady to Prom, it’s gotta be BIG. Like, mind-blowingly big. Like space.

Look, lots of guys go all out because they don’t know if the girl will say yes or not.

So they try to do a big ask, like at a baseball game. That’s not ideal, because it puts a lot of pressure on the lady. She feels like she’s got to say yes, because of all the people that are looking at her and not the baseball game.

And for you guys like me in relationships . . . you got to go all out too. Just because she’s your girlfriend, doesn’t mean that she wants to feel less special than the baseball game lady, right?

My girlfriend lives in Canada. I’m not sure if they have baseball there, but I feel like a hockey game proposal is even more off-base.

Giving out heart-shaped candy to everyone in homeroom today: classy!
On any other day of the year: creepy! #happyvalentinesdayMon Feb 14 21:39:40 via web

Okay, so yes it's Monday. But this is no normal Monday.

It's Valentine's day! And that completely balances out the typical Monday blah. All of a sudden the halls are electrified with the feeling that anything can happen, and the anticipation that Cupid might shoot his arrow in your direction any time - in class, in the hall, in the lunchroom.

Principal Dunnan has asked me to remind you that arrows are considered part of Brookside High’s “zero tolerance” policy. No arrows, guys. Even the super-cute ones with hearts on the tips.
